Colin Spill, Kent, UKHappy to report that this tool DOES work on 38 pin cars (and 16 pin cars) after previously using old laptop software which was difficult to use, this kit is just plug & play, first connect the 38 pin connector to the tool, plug it in and was able to clear and diagnose faults in my W210 Mercedes E Class, and being in the Mercedes owners club, we tried it on a friends W202 C Class with more positive results. In summary it's an easy to use kit, which succeeds where a lot of others fail and have no problem in recommending this tool. Job well done A++++
Michael Simpson, Enniskillen, UKI bought the MB V1.0 as advised by Alistair at Diagnostic World who advised me that the i980 was not suitable for the W205 Mercedes C Class. I bought this MB V1.0 recommended kit and am very pleased to say that it worked exactly as he said it would. I was able to find and clear the codes for an airbag light which was triggered when i accidentally unclipped the airbag connector. Thank you for your help and will order again soon for my BMW.
Christopher Fanduiz, New York, USAWe ordered this for our Mercedes E Class W212 and was able to access all of the main systems that I needed within seconds. It scanned for codes in systems like engine, transmission, airbags, abs, parking sensors and a whole lot more (systems that I am not farmiliar with) but my main reason for buying was because I had the ESP ABS message on screen with the ABS warning lights showing on the dashboard. As it turns out I needed a replacement rear left ABS sensor which I fitted myself, and then cleared the warning messages with this MB V1.0 kit. Super.
Robert Cawley, Exeter, UKI originally bought the iCarsoft i980 kit to diagnose the ABS/ESP warning lights on my Mercedes C Class W204 facelift model but when trying to diagnose I would get the 'communication failure' message. I was advised to use the MB V1.0 kit instead as the software is better and its newer. I swapped the kit out and the MB V1.0 kit worked straight away, so I am A. happy with this kit, and B. Wanting to inform you that if you have the ESP/ABS warning light on your C Class facelift (2011 to 2014) then go straight for the MB V1.0 kit.

Gregory Carson, Swindon, UKGood solid kit which covers both our Mercedes A Class & our Sprinter work van. I had a check engine warning on the A Class which turns out it needed a new MAP sensor. I replaced this and was able to reset the codes fairly easily.
Paul Ottie, Tanfield, UKI bought this for my Smart car with an airbag fault. The MB V1.0 kit allowed me to reset the fault straight away and never came back on. Not sure what the issue was exactly, the scanner said something to do with the connection under the drivers seat which may have been knocked out of place, really not sure though. The tool worked well though so delighted with the recommendation.
John Slater, Ayr, UKIt took 4 days to arrive instead of 1-2 days as promised. It does work fine though to diagnose an ABS ESP issue on my ML Class Mercedes. I was a little sceptical at first, but this has actually saved me a bit of cash that would have otherwise gone to the garage. I fitted the replacement ABS sensor myself which tool about 2 hours (complete novice) but now my abs system is operating like new. I am keeping the MB 1.0 kit in my glovebox incase any future issues arise. Love it. A++++++++++++

The MB V1.0 was able to diagnose some trouble codes (and engine warning light) which was because of my EGR valve. I managed to simply clean my EGR valve and erased the fault codes - this worked perfectly so all I had to spend was for the scanner, and some EGR cleaner fluid and a Saturday afternoon.

Fast delivery and from what I understand, the 38 pin has a chip in it, which allows the MB V1.0 to communicate with the car, so if you buy the cheaper generic black 38 pin connector it will not work, you need to buy the package so the tool and 38 pin connector can communicate with each other.
